They are not tiny dogs (although obviously this one is at the moment - it's only 6 weeks). The book says they get to around 36cm/7kg. So quite a lot smaller than Jack I guess (it's a while since I've seen him).
They are smaller than the "standard" Schnauzer (48cm/15kg). Caroline thought it would be better to have a smaller dog around town that didn't need too much exercise.
I think there's also a "giant" Schnauzer that's even bigger.

How 'miniature' are they? I'm not very up on dog breeds. I bet your blog traffic starts to soar once you get into posting pet photos :-)
